Insect Bites

If the child has difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, hives, or other worrisome symptoms within 30 minutes after an insect bite (especially bees) or had a previous severe allergic reaction, see Severe Allergic Reaction.

A bite involves biting with the insect's mouth parts and removing a drop of blood from a person. A sting involves injecting a poison into a person from the insect's stinger.

Select the type of bite or sting that applies:

Bee Stings

Itchy or Painful Insect Bites
